Most gowns will require some type of alteration for the perfect fit, but this shouldn’t be another stressful part of the wedding planning. It’s my goal to help you feel at ease during the whole alteration process and to make this experience as calm and relaxing as possible. I’m here to listen attentively, offer suggestions, and help you feel your best.
The most common alterations needed are a hem, taking in the bodice side seams, taking up the straps and a bustle if you have a train. If you don’t really know what the gown needs to make it look amazing on you, I’ll help guide you through those decisions. A typical bride will have an initial fitting, one to two fittings and a final pick-up fitting. This can vary depending on the complexity of your gown alterations.
This alteration process should start 8-10 weeks (for the bride) and 5-6 weeks (for mom’s and bridesmaids) before the wedding date.
